Pune: The 12th Board (HSC Exam) has commenced in Pune state on Tuesday (21st). This year marks the first time that a 100% syllabus exam is being conducted after the COVID-19 pandemic. The examination is being held at 3,195 centers throughout the state, and more than 1.45 million students have registered for the exam. However, on the first day of the exam, a serious error was discovered in the English subject paper. The board made a serious mistake by printing the direct answer instead of the question numbers À3 to A5 of question number 03 in the English subject paper. In contrast, instructions were provided to the examiner for the other two questions, leading to confusion among students about what they should write in response.
The board has realized its mistake regarding the questions and the Pune board has taken the role of giving six marks to all the students for those questions. A joint meeting will be held with subject experts of English and chief regulators of all departmental boards. After the meeting, the final decision to give summary marks to the students will be announced.
Education experts have expressed the belief that due to all these types, the percentage of students who fail in English will definitely decrease this year.
