The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is all set to return to its old pattern of board exams. Next year, for the 2022-23 batch, there will be a single board examination of 10th and 12th. CBSE has conducted two board exams this year.
The first term of 10th and 12th board exams was held in November-December last year. It had multiple choice questions. So now the board's second term exams will be held in April and May. Here students have to fill up long answer sheets.
The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 recommended two tests on the background of corona infection. In such a scenario, it was speculated that the CBSE would continue the pattern of two examinations in the future.
But now the Hindustan Times, an English newspaper, has claimed, citing sources, that from next year, the board exams will once again be conducted in the old manner. The 10th and 12th board exams are held in March-April every year.
